Patient Scheduling Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient scheduling and registration services, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling.
- Registration: Verify patient information, obtain necessary documentation, and register patients for services.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Order Release: Release orders for applicable tests and services.
- Point of Service Collections: Collect patient obligations and process payments.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Basic keyboarding, personal computer use, and other office setting equipment.
- Registration Experience: One year of registration experience, point of service collection, insurance validation, and order release process.
- Electronic Medical Record Experience: Previous Epic or equivalent Electronic Medical Record experience.
