The Lead Technical SEO Specialist is tasked with enhancing search engine visibility for product categories, listings, and landing pages, while also driving increased organic traffic, conversions, and revenue for the Adorama platform. This role utilizes data-driven insights to craft and implement effective search optimization strategies that align with overarching business goals. In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, the SEO Specialist is committed to continuous learning and adaptation, ensuring they remain at the forefront of industry trends and algorithm changes.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Formulate a comprehensive SEO strategy grounded in best practices and data analysis that supports business objectives.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to perform regular technical and on-page SEO evaluations, identifying opportunities for enhancement and addressing issues related to crawlability, indexation, and overall site health.
  • Establish a monitoring system to promptly address performance issues (e.g., crawlability, site architecture, loading speed, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, metadata, redirects).
  • Assess and prioritize projects and initiatives based on analytical insights, tracking progress and outcomes over time.
  • Coordinate content requests and updates to optimize search engine rankings.
  • Advocate for necessary adjustments to existing web pages as required.
  • Design and execute link-building and internal linking strategies.
  • Engage with various departments (e.g., Social Media, Purchasing, Categorization) to bolster SEO initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance on web projects to ensure alignment with SEO best practices.
  • Work alongside agencies to analyze site structure, link frameworks, and on-page elements to identify and capitalize on optimization opportunities.
  • Partner with development teams to resolve technical challenges and uphold best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical SEO, demonstrating a successful track record in an e-commerce setting.
  • Proficient in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs.
  • Familiarity with coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and their relevance to SEO.
  • Solid understanding of search engine algorithms, including ranking, indexing, and crawling processes.
  • Knowledge of structured data markup and page schema.
  • Thorough comprehension of SEO project management, covering on-page, off-site, and content strategies.
  • Experience in data analytics with the ability to interpret web traffic patterns to refine SEO strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects concurrently.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000, determined by the candidate's skills and experience.
