About the Role:
The SEO Manager will oversee the daily work of junior team members and build out initial reporting insights to present results internally for review and adjust strategies accordingly. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering on client KPIs and driving overall digital marketing success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting: Analyze website analytics data to write performance insights and recommend optimizations that align with website goals.
- Technical and Content Auditing: Audit and QA all technical and content optimizations put forth by junior team members to ensure best practices are followed and recommendations are relevant to project objectives.
- Project Execution: Directly oversee junior team members in their daily tasks to ensure project milestones are completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Directly manage the day-to-day operations of SEO projects, overseeing junior team members in their daily tasks to enhance their training and development.
- Expertly provide recommendations on content and technical SEO tactics.
- Build out initial reporting insights and present results internally for review, taking appropriate action to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Assist senior team members to develop the strategy for web projects and map out SEO milestones based on specific website update goals and content updates.
- Maintain relationships with day-to-day network partners (IP, copy, and development) to foster close collaboration on website updates.
- Help define strategy and goals alongside SEO leads and suggest tactics to achieve success.
- Work with senior team members to properly train junior members on best practices, processes, and ways of working.
- Assess project briefs and develop an SEO plan to support the goal of the project.
- Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and propose solutions to automate tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in SEO.
- 1+ year of experience in pharma (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including advanced Microsoft Excel functions/formulas: charts, graphs, pivot tables, and VLookUp.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and third-party SEO tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and content and technical optimization tactics.
- Able to locate, extract, organize, and evaluate healthcare industry news publications, including but not limited to healthcare advertising best practices and regulations, HIPPA compliancy, and market landscape for clients' brands.
- Understands content and technical SEO tactics and how they affect a website's performance.
- Ready, willing, and able to dive into the details of the client's web analytics to draw performance insights.
- Demonstrates ability to multitask, keeping multiple projects on-track and executing work in a timely fashion.
- Has active listening skills to apply learnings over time.
- Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices (including, but not limited to content optimization, technical SEO, offsite SEO, and troubleshooting HTML issues).
- Proficiently navigates key tools related to search (SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, etc.).
- Able to articulate the importance of SEO and SEM integration and can understand basic SEM strategies and how they affect organic performance.
- Understands all aspects of SEO project management and proactively anticipates next steps during any kind of website project.
- Produces clear, concise work that is error-free and easily understood.
- Can clearly and confidently present and explain SEO insights, best practices, and field questions from clients and cross-functional teams during presentations and meetings.
- Ability to translate strategies into ideas and tactical recommendations.
- Adapts communication style to relevant audience.
- Skilled in solving routine problems by evaluating and selecting solutions from established options or procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with data.

Salary:
$81,000 to $120,000 annually
The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
