Are you a detail-oriented and motivated accountant with a strong interest in real estate and fund management? We are collaborating with a rapidly growing real estate firm seeking a skilled Commercial Property Accountant to oversee a varied portfolio of commercial properties and investment funds. If you possess significant experience in commercial property accounting and fund management, along with a keen attention to detail and expertise in financial reporting, this position offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution. Become an integral part of our dynamic finance team and play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for commercial properties and related funds.
  • Fund Accounting: Manage and reconcile fund accounts, including the calculation of management fees, performance fees, and ensuring compliance with fund agreements and regulations.
  • Property Accounting: Supervise daily accounting for commercial properties, including rent collections, expense management, property budgets, and financial forecasting.
  • Investment Analysis: Support the evaluation of investment opportunities through financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and due diligence assistance.
  • Audit Coordination: Facilitate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies pertaining to property and fund management.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, particularly in commercial property accounting and fund management. Experience in real estate or investment funds is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial property accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in fund accounting and investment analysis.
  • Advanced skills in financial software and tools (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proven capability to manage complex financial information with accuracy and precision.
