We are collaborating with a growing real estate organization seeking a proficient Senior Commercial Property Accountant to oversee a varied portfolio of commercial properties and investment funds. If you possess substantial expertise in commercial property accounting and fund oversight, along with a keen attention to detail and strong financial reporting skills, this opportunity allows you to make a meaningful contribution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Generate financial statements, evaluate financial documents, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for commercial properties and related funds.
  • Fund Accounting: Oversee and reconcile fund accounts, including the calculation of management and performance fees, while ensuring compliance with fund agreements and regulations.
  • Property Accounting: Manage daily accounting functions for commercial properties, encompassing rent collections, expense tracking, property budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Investment Evaluation: Support the assessment of investment prospects, including financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and due diligence assistance.
  • Audit Coordination: Facilitate and assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation and clarifications as necessary.
  • Compliance Assurance: Guarantee adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and organizational policies concerning property and fund management.
  • Operational Enhancements: Identify and execute process improvements to boost the efficiency and accuracy of accounting functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, particularly in commercial property accounting and fund management. Experience in real estate or investment funds is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of commercial property accounting standards and practices.
  • Expertise in fund accounting and investment evaluation.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar systems).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proven capability to manage intricate financial data with accuracy and attention to detail.
