Position Title: Area Operations Manager

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Incentives: Eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to 30% of base salary.

Employment Type: Exempt, Salaried

Job Location: Central Colorado

Role Objective:

The Area Operations Manager at Schwazze is instrumental in supervising a network of retail outlets within the cannabis sector, managing 8-12 locations in their designated area. This position emphasizes driving revenue growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and cultivating a supportive workplace culture throughout the region. The Area Operations Manager will be tasked with enhancing store performance, mentoring store leaders, and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development (40%):

  • Direct and oversee a team of store leaders across the area, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
  • Recruit, select, and onboard store leaders and team members for each location within the area.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, support, and mentorship to store leaders to strengthen their management capabilities.
  • Encourage a positive and cooperative work atmosphere that promotes employee development and retention.
  • Manage talent development initiatives and establish a pipeline for future leadership opportunities.

Operational Management (30%):

  • Formulate and implement operational strategies to enhance sales, customer engagement, and profitability across the area.
  • Work with store leaders to create and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource distribution.
  • Assess and monitor store performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Guarantee adherence to company policies, local laws, and industry standards across all locations in the area.

Sales and Customer Relations (30%):

  • Stimulate sales growth and market presence by establishing sales targets and action plans for each store in the area.
  • Examine sales patterns and inventory needs, making data-informed decisions to optimize product selections.
  • Maintain a strong emphasis on outstanding customer service, fostering a customer-oriented retail environment.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to roll out promotional and marketing campaigns within the area.

Note: The percentage distribution is a general estimate and may fluctuate based on business requirements and priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in retail management, ideally within the cannabis sector.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven capability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and achieve results.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulations in the cannabis industry.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active MED badge in the state of Colorado.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in multi-unit management.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce operations.
  • Experience with retail sales incentive and loyalty programs.

Work Environment:

  • Work schedule may vary based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Frequent travel within the area is required to support store operations.

Compensation:

$110,000 USD per year
