Job DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager, Special Projects to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for fostering operational improvements through feature development, customer-vendor onboardings, account management, process improvement, development, and implementation, as well as other special projects within the operations department.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Operational Goals: Collaborate with the executive, operations, and product/engineering teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Develop Strategic Plans: Create and implement strategies to achieve long-term and near-term strategic objectives.
- Lead from the Front: Demonstrate leadership skills and take charge when necessary to ensure operational success.
- Maintain Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including buyers, influencers, users, and their vendors.
- Liaise with Product Team: Work closely with the product team to evaluate new feature development.
- Establish KPIs: Develop and track key performance indicators to measure performance and derive actionable insights.
- Build and Lead a Team: Assemble and lead a team focused on operational excellence, customer service, and maintaining a win-or-die mentality.
- Hire, Develop, and Manage Performance: Recruit, develop, and manage the performance and development of colleagues.
- Experience: Current or previous experience as a Supply Chain Analyst/Engineer is preferred.
- Track Record: Proven ability to exceed annual targets and KPIs.
- Cross-Functional Experience: Proven ability to work cross-functionally across customers' operations, IT, supply chain, logistics, and finance departments while supporting customer adoption.
- Service-Focused Operations: Understanding of service-focused operations teams that support a group of customers whose operations are 24/7/365.
- Urgency and Prioritization: Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all projects and an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as necessary.
- Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task projects and required tasks in an organized fashion.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-motivated in individual projects, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Degree: Bachelor's degree (MBA is a plus).
- Experience: 4-10 years of working experience.
- Leadership Experience: 1+ years of experience leading a team of 5 or more direct reports.
- Start-Up Experience: Start-up experience (e.g., Series A, B, or C) is strongly preferred.
- Customer Change Management: Experience with Customer Change Management is preferred.
