Position Overview:

Raytheon Technologies is on the lookout for a highly skilled Lead Supply Chain Strategist to enhance our procurement operations. This pivotal role involves direct collaboration with the Associate Director of Supply Chain, focusing on innovative procurement methodologies that drive efficiency and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the procurement team to fulfill organizational purchasing objectives.
  • Organize team initiatives to align with program specifications and uphold procurement standards.
  • Leverage supply chain and procurement knowledge within a complex organizational structure.
  • Facilitate effective communication across diverse departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Formulate and execute customer-centric, risk-aware procurement strategies for a competitive edge.
  • Mentor and guide the procurement team, establishing performance benchmarks.
  • Supervise all procurement functions at the designated site.
  • Ensure team members possess essential skills through training and support.
  • Assist the team in clarifying and refining procurement tasks.
  • Serve as the supply chain liaison for business executives, conveying supply-related information.
  • Collaborate with senior management to achieve operational, supplier, and financial objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement protocols and authorizations.
  • Address supply challenges, disputes, and risks with the procurement team.
  • Support supplier engagement initiatives, including negotiations and performance oversight.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A University Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline with at least 7 years of experience, or 14 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is necessary due to access restrictions on program-related information.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in inventory management systems and processes, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Experienced in supply and demand forecasting.
  • Familiar with government procurement and contract management.
