Position Summary:
- Delivers essential support functions to the Order to Cash (OTC) process within Diageo's spirits division.
- Acts as the primary contact for supply locations, ensuring exceptional customer service through teamwork, proactive order oversight, and customer interaction.
- Facilitates communication between supply sites and Customer Logistics teams to enhance service delivery to clients across North America.
- Oversees and guarantees the timely distribution of products from Diageo facilities globally, within the United States, and from third-party vendors.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of Order to Cash procedures and Import Route to Markets.
- Promotes outstanding service to Distributors by collaborating across various functions.
- Ensures reliable product delivery from Diageo Supply sites to Distributors.
- Proactively identifies and communicates potential delivery issues.
- Develops and continuously enhances business relationships with Supplier contacts; manages communications and expectations effectively.
- Leads regular collaborative discussions with key supply chain contacts (customer operations, importing supply centers) to optimize supply chain efficiencies.
- Actively oversees and supports the launch of new products and the discontinuation of existing ones.
- Drives ongoing improvements in business processes through critical analysis, sharing best practices, and ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams.
- Manage an average annual volume of 2,000 orders, totaling 2 million cases with a Net Sales Value of $350 million.
- Monitor, maintain, and influence key performance indicators related to service, cost, cash flow, and quality.
- Provide sound business recommendations balancing cost, service, cash flow, and quality to determine optimal solutions.
- Engage in critical thinking and analysis to support order management and project management tasks (e.g., Net Sales Value, Billings).
- Ensure adherence to order guidelines by customers and proactively suggest improvements in order management and processes to supply centers (route-to-market, order lead time, order quantity).
- Recognize the growing significance of Direct to Customer Imported products in fulfilling US Spirits Sales commitments, making informed business decisions regarding cost and service.
- Represent Customer Logistics in cross-functional meetings to shape and influence key business processes, including innovation, system enhancements, and logistics strategy.
- Support the ongoing development and refinement of Customer Logistics processes and metrics to drive continuous enhancements in service, cost, and quality.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, supply chain planning, or logistics roles within the beverage alcohol sector or a dynamic Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related fields.
- Familiarity with order management systems (preferably SAP).
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to work independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Proven ability to cultivate strong customer relationships and manage customer expectations.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
