Our Opportunity


Chewy is on the lookout for a driven, analytical, and passionate Senior Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our expanding Commercial Finance Healthcare team.

This role combines a solid grasp of finance with practical expertise in financial statements, utilizing data to inform and influence decisions. The selected candidate will engage in various financial planning and analysis activities to support critical strategic initiatives, propel Chewy Healthcare's growth, and ensure the achievement of financial goals.

What You'll Do


Conduct modeling and analytics necessary to distill extensive data sets into clear outputs that provide business insights, reporting, analyses, and actionable recommendations for leadership.

Assist in the reporting and management of financial performance frameworks for the organization, helping to define essential metrics and performance indicators to assess overall business effectiveness.

Collaborate across departments with the broader Finance team, Chewy Vet Care Operations and Medical team, Healthcare Merchandising team, Product team, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business, its clientele, and overall operations.

Actively engage in strategic planning, target setting, and the annual/quarterly planning processes.

Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring that records are accurately maintained in line with Chewy's policies and procedures.

Pursue ongoing enhancements in all business areas, focusing on Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance.

Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Need

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics.
  • 3+ years of relevant finance experience with a foundational understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and modeling, with experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with SQL coding, Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, and Oracle ERP.

Demonstrated ability to think creatively, work independently as well as collaboratively to solve problems with limited resources and time, maintain a strong work ethic, and meet deadlines.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
