Position Overview
We are currently in search of a Microsoft Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that will support our operations. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the IT Director to enhance and secure our existing infrastructure while strategizing for future cloud transitions.

We are looking for a seasoned professional who can integrate cutting-edge technologies into our environment, ensuring that everything from network hardware to cloud-hosted applications is up-to-date and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud technologies.
  • Implement Office/Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Set up Azure Active Directory environments.
  • Deploy advanced Microsoft 365 services, including Enterprise and Mobility solutions.
  • Design Office/Microsoft 365 service architectures.
  • Maintain on-premise and Azure Active Directory environments, including Group Policies.
  • Enhance infrastructure in client environments.
  • Manage SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams environments.
  • Develop and uphold a robust backup strategy utilizing VEEAM.
  • Configure and maintain firewall policies.
  • Administer internal SAN and NAS environments.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and access points.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of various client applications and environments.
  • Lead initiatives for researching and implementing new applications.
  • Manage IT projects for clients.
  • Coordinate with various IT staff and operations.
  • Provide guidance and leadership as a senior team member.
  • Support the management of support services and related deliverables.
  • Collaborate with end-users and vendors to ensure application and environment support.
  • Engage with client stakeholders on strategic vision and direction.
  • Participate in regular client meetings and engage with executive management.
  • Support client initiatives both remotely and on-site.
  • Conduct routine network maintenance across various Microsoft environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT support experience.
  • At least 1 year of advanced Microsoft 365 experience.
  • Strong background in support management roles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with MS Azure, Defender, Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune.
  • Microsoft cloud certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, critical support role.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent support to end-users and leading teams.
  • Strong decision-making and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and manage assignments effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and support new technologies while training others.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, business administration, or a related field.
Education / Certifications:
  • BA in computer science or a related discipline.
    • Certifications may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Work Authorization:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
