We are currently in search of a Receptionist/Admin Coordinator who will play a vital role in our Glen Burnie, Maryland office. This individual will be tasked with welcoming customers, clients, vendors, employment applicants, and other visitors, while also managing incoming phone calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and register incoming visitors, ensuring they receive appropriate visitor badges.
- Conduct Visual Compliance Screening and escort visitors as required.
- Monitor office supply inventory and reorder supplies as necessary.
- Prepare mailing labels for outgoing packages and manage incoming mail/packages.
- Perform light clerical duties, including word processing, filing, and record maintenance.
- Assist in processing vendor invoices.
- Support the receiving and documentation of incoming items.
- Additional responsibilities may include:
- Organizing and maintaining filing systems.
- Preparing documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information in accordance with government standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Capable of engaging appropriately with the public when necessary.
- Adherence to workplace policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in phone systems and call routing.
- Minimum of 1 year of office experience.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Office setting.
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks (keyboarding, 10-key, phone use).
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
