Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at Agemark Senior Living Communities. As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a purposeful life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Activity Planning and Implementation: Assist the Life Enrichment Coach in creating and posting a monthly activity calendar, including daily schedules, and implementing activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Resident Engagement: Encourage residents to participate in planning activities and use reminiscing techniques to engage individual residents and create meaningful moments of joy.
  • Program Management: Preserve the appearance of activity areas, program supplies, and equipment, and promote positive interaction between residents, families, and community groups.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Help create and update LifeLoop profiles for new residents, highlighting their family, interests, and personal history, and share this information with staff at the property.
  • Financial Management: Assist in developing and adhering to a monthly program budget, setting quarterly and annual goals, and adjusting based on feedback.
  • Special Events: Plan special events to coincide with marketing objectives, working closely with leadership staff, and organize recognition of resident birthdays and anniversaries.
  • Transportation and Logistics: Coordinate transportation and drive the Community vehicle to appointments and outings, with a preference for knowledge of the community and surrounding city.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Maintain confidentiality of information regarding residents, prospects, personnel, and overall property operations, and cultivate a high level of integrity and flexibility in this service-oriented environment.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Promote teamwork, support improvement opportunities, and use problem-solving skills to address challenges and concerns.
  • Medical Transportation: May assist with medical resident transportation as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior Assisted Living or Senior Care experience of 6 months or more is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills are essential for seamless interaction with residents and colleagues.
  • Age and License: Must be 21 and have a valid driver's license.
  • Schedule: This position will include a Thursday-Monday working schedule.
