About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at the Health Industry Distributors Association. As a key member of our membership sales and retention team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic account management, membership sales, and retention efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member Recruitment: Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to identify and acquire new member companies, including researching qualified prospects, implementing email marketing campaigns, and conducting meetings with decision-makers.
  • Member Retention: Onboard new members to ensure they derive maximum value from their membership, lead quarterly orientation calls to enhance engagement and retention, and develop strategies to increase program adoption and revenue.
  • Accredited In Medical Sales (AMS) Program: Drive sales of AMS Sales Training licenses, meeting or exceeding established sales goals, and develop strategies to increase program adoption and revenue.
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and additional experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in membership sales and retention, strategic accounts, or corporate relations.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the medical products, markets, and/or related distribution industry, history of successful member development sales or sales of other intangible products and services, ability to build relationships and sell, project management skills, strong written and oral communication abilities, and competency with MS Office and database applications.
