TITLE: Events and Marketing Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Events

REPORTS TO: COO

McGregor Square represents a vibrant addition to the historic Lower Downtown Denver area, encompassing a full city block. This innovative space includes a hotel, residential units, office spaces, retail establishments, fine dining options, and a food hall, all surrounding a spacious content plaza designed for year-round events such as concerts and festivals.

The Events and Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in the creation, execution, and oversight of digital marketing strategies, social media initiatives, SEO, and content management. This position collaborates with external digital agencies and internal teams to ensure that all marketing objectives are met and revenue opportunities are maximized. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong passion for marketing and events, striving to cultivate unique brand identities through innovative online and offline strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the online presence, focusing on the development of engaging content for various websites.
  • Collaborate with agencies to optimize property websites in line with current SEO best practices.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts, including website development and online promotions.
  • Conduct and monitor ongoing email marketing campaigns across different business units.
  • Leverage analytics from agencies and Google Analytics to enhance content and marketing strategies.
  • Recommend updates and new reporting methods based on technological advancements and business needs.
  • Create and manage captivating content across social media platforms.
  • Ensure consistency in imagery and messaging across all social media channels.
  • Coordinate promotional campaigns, including creative requests and communication plans.
  • Monitor online trends and brand reputation, ensuring appropriate responses to reviews.
  • Develop and implement Public Relations strategies in collaboration with PR agencies.
  • Engage with partners and sponsors to enhance brand visibility both online and within the community.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events and activations to maintain property prominence.
  • Manage event logistics, including vendor coordination and budget adherence.
  • Support graphic design efforts for promotional materials.
  • Utilize content management systems to update and maintain websites.
  • Proficiently use Adobe Creative Suite for design tasks.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3-5 years in a marketing role is essential, with a preference for candidates with hospitality experience.

SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in time management.
  • Familiarity with MS Word and other computer applications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Occasional standing and lifting of items up to 25 lbs may be required.

ENVIRONMENT

This position primarily operates in an indoor office setting.
