Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating memorable conferences and ensuring client satisfaction through proactive communication, meticulous planning, and effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
  • Enhance meeting planner evaluation scores by implementing strategies that exceed expectations.
  • Maximize room rental revenues.
  • Foster long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Engage actively in industry organizations such as NACE and MPI.
  • Exhibit strong sales techniques, including closing and negotiation skills.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections and deliver compelling client presentations.
  • Demonstrate creativity in developing innovative setups, menus, and functions for groups.
  • Collaborate closely with the banquet department to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Oversee the coordination and ongoing evaluation of operations related to events.
  • Manage audio/visual equipment as a profit center.
  • Utilize computer software, including Delphi, Word, and Excel, proficiently.
  • Monitor group room blocks and generate detailed resumes for operational departments.
  • Work with external vendors to guarantee client satisfaction for all events.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in hospitality, particularly in catering sales, is essential.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the hospitality industry is required.
  • Experience in a hotel of similar size and quality is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
  • Understanding of sales strategies, revenue management, and peer motivation.
  • Familiarity with hotel features, benefits, and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to execute effective action plans.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing, safety programs, and budget forecasting.
  • Capability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
