We currently have an opening for a Production Chemical Engineer. This role will involve supporting our engineering operations across multiple facilities.
Position Summary:
The Production Engineer will be part of our Engineering Department, reporting to the Engineering Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production systems through engineering support and design oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering production support and technical guidance for assigned process systems, including troubleshooting product quality issues, addressing unplanned downtime, and resolving equipment deficiencies.
- Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and enhancing reliability.
- Collaborating with quality and R&D teams on various issues, including analyzing process data, implementing new products, and participating in audits.
- Developing and maintaining essential Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation for assigned systems.
- Evaluating long-term equipment reliability based on historical data and process metrics.
- Providing engineering assistance to contractors and maintenance teams for repairs, modifications, and new installations.
- Acting as an engineering resource for the development of new products and the optimization of existing ones.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in a chemical plant engineering role is required; internships or co-op experiences will also be considered.
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software is necessary.
