Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate chemical processes and equipment to safely manufacture quality products.
  • Apply all plant safety rules, work guidelines/practices, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Recommend and implement improvements and adjustments to processes, equipment, and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Update and maintain daily QC data and process samples to ensure quality control.
  • Utilize computers for quality control, inventory control, transportation documents, and other processing purposes.
  • Provide physical labor where needed to support production operations.
  • Work changing shifts as needed to meet production demands.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Keep all process areas, the laboratory, and equipment clean and operational to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Unload railcars, load tanker trucks, and make preparations for shipment to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support production operations.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment according to procedure and inventory as required to ensure accurate testing and analysis.
  • Provide production support to all departments as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and apply improvements in processes, equipment, and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management to support the success of the team.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Mechanical experience and aptitude are necessary to perform the duties of this role.
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a related field.
  • The right individual has a 'can-do' attitude, the ability to be part of a team while operating independently, and consistently performs to very high standards.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift is required.
