Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for our clients in the food, beverage, and life sciences industries.
Responsibilities:- Design and implement control systems for automated processes and system integration in food, beverage, and life sciences environments.
- Assume accountability for project execution, including team leadership, project scope, quality of deliverables, budget, and schedule.
- Maintain and grow solid client relationships.
- Design automation control systems, create project documentation, and drawings to meet client requirements.
- Program PLCs (Rockwell) and HMI/SCADAs (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware).
- Participate in various automation project phases, including installation, checkout, and start-up.
- Mentor and share knowledge with other controls engineers.
- Troubleshoot control systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- A minimum of eight years of direct experience as a controls engineer working on automated processes/system integration in a food, beverage, or life sciences environment.
- A track record of proficiency in control systems, troubleshooting, and working in high-intensity environments.
- Experience in the design and implementation of control system architectures (PLC, HMI, industrial networks, and related automation hardware/software).
- A solid understanding of industrial control panel design and fabrication (UL508A).
- Engineering consulting experience (preferred).
- The ability to successfully interact with clients.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to travel for project requirements.
- A Bachelor of Science in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, or a related degree (preferred).
