Position Summary

Director of Engagement Strategy
At Publicis CoLab, we unite brilliant minds to develop digital products, advertising initiatives, and media experiences that bring bold, award-winning concepts to fruition. Our Strategy team is multidisciplinary, consisting of experts in Creative, Social, and Digital Experience Strategy, all driven by a common goal to craft experiences that resonate with audiences.

What role does Engagement Strategy play? While our Planning team shapes and refines a brand's identity and addresses the core challenges faced by customers, the Engagement Strategy team delineates how patients and healthcare professionals interact with the brand—addressing patient needs and supporting them into the future. This team provides a vision and framework for integrated and innovative campaigns, collaborating closely with Planning, Media, and Technology to realize these objectives.

To enhance this vision, we seek an exceptional Director of Engagement Strategy—an individual who advocates for a contemporary approach to connected brand experiences; someone who comprehends consumer behavior, the contexts in which these behaviors occur, and how to design engagement moments that positively influence patient journeys. The ideal candidate recognizes that content fuels the patient journey and utilizes data to uncover insights that inform the content patients require to make informed, wellness-oriented decisions. Additionally, they appreciate that consumer experiences are non-linear and adopt an omnichannel strategy when partnering with media agencies to disseminate content across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Engagement Strategy, your extensive media and marketing expertise will be crucial in providing strategic thought leadership on significant client engagements. You will:

  • Demonstrate a profound understanding of consumer interactions with channels and technology, focusing on effectively addressing clients' business challenges through a coordinated system of paid, owned, and earned touchpoints that inspires connected creativity.
  • Guide strategy across key accounts while delivering industry-leading service.
Qualifications

This pivotal role requires a wealth of expertise (7-10 years of relevant experience, with an advanced degree preferred), including a proven track record of impactful work and professional ingenuity:

  • A digital marketing-savvy problem-solver with a relentless drive to inspire teams and deliver exceptional work, grounded in your expertise with omnichannel orchestration (including media, CRM, website, and mobile).
  • A successful track record within the pharmaceutical marketing sector is essential.
  • A strong analytical thinker and translator with outstanding research capabilities, including several years of experience with media-centric tools such as Comscore, MRI, and Google Analytics, to extract data and insights that drive strategic communications planning and execution.
  • A creative provocateur and persuasive storyteller, endlessly curious and questioning, with a keen ability to shift perspectives and illuminate powerful insights and creative potential through data and narrative collaboration with all levels of the agency and its partners to drive growth.
  • A true collaborator with experience on large-scale projects across multiple digital properties—an effective connector of ideas.
