**Job Summary**
ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Float Nurse Resident to join our team in a nursing role at our Newark, Delaware location.
About the Role
We are committed to supporting nurses with under a year of experience through a nurse residency program. This 12-month program integrates educational components with up to 18 weeks of preceptor-led clinical experiences on various units at our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation and training program
- Develop a strong foundation for nursing practice in multiple fast-paced, challenging environments
- Float between our Wilmington and Christiana Hospitals on medical, surgical, step-down, and transitional care units
- Complete ACLS, dysrhythmia training, and step-down competencies
- Pass State Boards and be licensed as a RN in the State of Delaware prior to starting position
Requirements
- Graduating from accredited nursing school (BSN Preferred)
- BLS required
- Less than 12 months of nursing experience by the start of the program
- Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse
