Nurse Residency Program: Emergency Department Track

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated nursing professionals to join our ChristianaCare Nurse Residency Program: Emergency Department Track
This 26-week program is designed to provide a smooth transition from graduate nurse to staff RN role in our Emergency Department. Participants will work under the supervision of experienced emergency nurses and receive ongoing support and development throughout the program.
Program Highlights:
- Combination of classroom and clinical experiences
- Preceptor-led program with ongoing support and development
- Opportunity to work in one of our 3 Emergency Departments
- ChristianaCare has 3 Emergency Departments:
- ChristianaCare Newark Campus,
- ChristianaCare Wilmington Campus
- Middletown Emergency Department
Requirements:
- Graduating from accredited nursing school before June 2025 (BSN Preferred)
- BLS required
- Less than 12 months of nursing experience by the start of the program
- Eligible for Delaware licensure as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse

- Two clinical recommendations will be required, but not at the time of the application. If it is determined the minimum qualifications are met, a separate email will be sent from an outside vendor for you to provide us with your clinical instructors' information.
What to Expect After Application:
- Communication from Talent Acquisition Team about specific next steps including: video interview and clinical references
- Applications to be sent for review by residency coordinators on December 27th.
- All tasks (SkillSurvey and HireVue) must be completed BEFORE December 27th in order to be considered.
- Digital real-time interviews will begin the second week of February 2025.
- Offers to be made beginning March 2025.
