Nurse Residency Program: Postpartum Track

Join ChristianaCare's esteemed Nurse Residency Program and embark on a transformative journey in postpartum nursing. This 24-week preceptor-led clinical training program is designed to equip new RNs with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns.
Program Highlights- Comprehensive clinical training on the Postpartum floors
- Emphasis on both mother and newborn care
- Continuing Care Nursery experience
- Specific knowledge and skills for caring for NOWS newborns
- Residency meetings during months 8, 10, and 12 for continued professional development
- Graduating from an accredited nursing school before June 2025 (BSN preferred)
- BLS required
- Less than 12 months experience from the program's start date
- Eligible for Delaware or Compact State licensure as a Registered Nurse
Upon successful program completion, participants will be hired as a staff nurse within the Postpartum area at ChristianaCare health system. A commitment agreement to work at ChristianaCare will be signed, requiring completion of two years within ChristianaCare and 15 months of those two years on the unit of hire. Individuals unable to fulfill this commitment will be charged $10,000.
