ChristianaCare Nurse Residency Program: Float Pool Track
We are committed to supporting new nurses with a comprehensive 12-month program that integrates educational components with preceptor-led clinical experiences on various units at Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals. The Float Pool supports 40 nursing units with complex diagnoses, providing a challenging and fast-paced environment for nurses to develop their skills.
The program includes:
- Preceptor-led clinical training through multiple units
- Independent practice
- Professional development courses
Upon successful completion, you will float between our Wilmington and Christiana Hospitals on medical, surgical, step-down, and transitional care units. We offer a competitive employment agreement and require a commitment to work at ChristianaCare for a minimum of 15 months.
Requirements:
- Graduating from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred)
- BLS required
- Less than 12 months of nursing experience by the start of the program
- Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse
