POSITION SUMMARY

BANKING ASSOCIATE I

Under general oversight, execute limited transactional responsibilities to assist members by processing deposits or withdrawals with a high level of precision and efficiency utilizing a computer system. A service-oriented professional dedicated to surpassing the expectations of each member served while achieving the established transactional objectives.

Provides fundamental cash handling and payment services to members in accordance with credit union policies and protocols. Maintain precise transactional records and reconcile each day's cash drawer in line with the Teller Accuracy Guidelines. Direct members to Member Service Representatives for product information and/or services that best suit their financial requirements. Remain vigilant against counterfeit monetary instruments.

BANKING ASSOCIATE II

Under general supervision, proficiently carry out limited and routine transactional tasks to assist members using a computer while meeting the established transactional benchmarks. A professional committed to exceeding the expectations of each member served. Provides essential cash handling and payment services to members in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Maintain accurate transactional records and balance each day's operations in accordance with the Teller Accuracy Guidelines.

Refers members to Member Service Representatives for product information and/or services that best align with their financial needs. Acts as a mentor (teller trainer) for newly hired Banking Associate I personnel and possesses knowledge of basic new member account opening processes. Understands and can explain ATM operations and online banking features. Remains alert to safeguard against fraud and counterfeit monetary instruments.

Productivity: Meets or exceeds productivity standards established for the organizational level or position. Successfully combines skills, ability, and effort to ensure that expectations related to results/output are achieved.

Referrals: Capable of recognizing and acting on referral opportunities to build member relationships. Asks questions to confirm referral opportunities, articulates benefits about appropriate product categories, and emphasizes the advantages of consulting a specialist. Meets required referral goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required. Six (6) to Twelve (12) months of experience in sales, customer service, and cash handling and/or Teller roles preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

There may be instances related to business operations that may require you to report to a different branch/work location.

As a Banking Associate, you must also be willing to provide service to members through various channels, including branches and ITM (Interactive Teller Machines) terminals.
