We are currently seeking a Credit Underwriter I/II to join our Healthcare, Education, and Not-for-Profit Group (HENFP). This group is integral to our Global Commercial Bank, addressing the financial needs of diverse 501(c) not-for-profit clients, including healthcare providers, educational institutions, and traditional not-for-profit organizations.

This role involves conducting risk assessments and analyzing repayment capacities (financial, borrower, industry, etc.) while preparing transaction justifications for moderately complex to complex transactions with limited oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess creditworthiness and provide analysis to determine client eligibility for credit facilities.
  • Collaborate with Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk teams to deliver tailored credit solutions.
  • Monitor client performance and financial health, proactively identifying challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide financial modeling, loan structuring, and industry analysis to support the loan decision-making process.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, guidelines, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of substantial experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including financial accounting and modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in financial analysis and portfolio management.

Desired Skills:
  • BS/BA degree with 2-3 years of credit analyst experience preferred.
