Job Summary:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician I at LifeBridge Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory testing services to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely results, which will inform patient care and treatment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more of the following disciplines: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Manual Procedures, and Automated Procedures.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of laboratory procedures, instruments, and equipment.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college) in a specialized field.
- Less than one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- MLT (ASCP or AMT) or MT (ASCP or AMT) or MLS (ASCP) certification.
