Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist, your primary role will involve managing a high volume of incoming calls, assisting members with inquiries, resolving account discrepancies, and providing information on various credit union products and services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling a significant number of calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Executing a range of account functions, including inquiries, transfers, loan payments, and wire requests.
  • Assisting members with requests related to Online Banking services.
  • Guiding members in completing forms available on our website.
  • Processing requests for new sub-share and certificate accounts.
  • Distributing new account information and promotional materials.
  • Cross-selling credit union products based on member needs and explaining current offers.
  • Inputting loan applications and providing updates on consumer loans.
  • Completing all required training and participating in special projects as assigned.
  • Availability to work during core business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to be bonded and maintain that status.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to provide friendly and professional service.
  • Effective planning and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Capability to work on a computer for extended periods.
