Job Summary

Amprius is seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team in Fremont, CA. As a key member of our Anode Manufacturing department, you will be responsible for the measurement and evaluation of our proprietary SiMaxx Silicon Nanowire Anode.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain various metrology equipment, including electron microscopes, optical microscopes, X-ray diffractometers, and other tools to characterize anode material.
  • Develop and optimize analytical methods for anode quality evaluation and defect monitoring.
  • Prepare detailed reports on anode quality and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the production team to enhance anode quality and troubleshoot defects.
  • Support cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as materials science, physics, or engineering.
  • 1+ year of industry experience in metrology or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer and data management skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Work in a laboratory setting with frequent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull.
