Position Summary:

The role involves working as a process and integration technician within a cleanroom environment dedicated to wafer fabrication. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with both development and manufacturing teams to execute processing, inspection, metrology, and disposition of experimental wafers. Responsibilities include the creation of recipes for vacuum tools, including thin film deposition, ion beam etching, and reactive ion etching. Additional duties may encompass the calibration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of development tools.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in semiconductor and/or magnetic head wafer processing.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: thin films, chemical mechanical polishing (CMP), ion milling, reactive ion etching, metrology, and lithography.
  • Experience collaborating with R&D teams to develop new processes and materials, as well as conducting experiments.
  • A minimum of a two-year college degree in a science or engineering discipline; a Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a high level of self-direction.
