Position Overview

The National Safety Council stands as the foremost nonprofit advocate for safety in America, dedicated to eradicating the primary causes of preventable injuries and fatalities. Through leadership, research, education, and advocacy, we target the most critical areas where unintentional injuries and deaths occur.

We are in search of a Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Operations to further our mission of saving lives and preventing injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives that enhance sales growth, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish long-term objectives for the Sales, Marketing, and Operations divisions.
  • Encourage cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment with the organization’s overarching strategic vision.

Sales Operations Management:

  • Refine sales processes and workflows to boost productivity and revenue generation.
  • Guide sales operations teams in developing and executing impactful sales strategies, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure synergy between sales teams and marketing efforts to optimize lead generation and conversion rates.

Marketing Operations Oversight:

  • Supervise the implementation of marketing campaigns, ensuring effective integration with sales initiatives.
  • Manage marketing operations, including automation, campaign performance analysis, and budget oversight.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to enhance branding, messaging, and market entry strategies.

Operational Excellence:

  • Guarantee operational efficiency across all business units, emphasizing process optimization, cost reduction, and resource management.
  • Establish and implement performance metrics to assess operational effectiveness and drive data-informed enhancements.
  • Oversee and enhance supply chain, logistics, and customer service operations to ensure seamless product and service delivery.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate high-performing teams across sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation within the organization.
  • Identify and nurture key talent to build a robust leadership pipeline.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and oversee budgets for the Sales, Marketing, and Operations sectors.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze discrepancies, and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Work with finance to ensure precise forecasting and reporting.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the primary liaison between sales, marketing, and operations teams and the executive leadership.
  • Provide regular updates on performance metrics, strategic initiatives, and operational advancements to the CEO/COO and Board of Directors.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, sales, and marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven history of driving operational excellence and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial planning.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • This position is remote.
  • Compensation: Salary range of $165,000 to $175,000 with a growth incentive plan.
