The National Safety Council stands as the foremost nonprofit advocate for safety in America, dedicated to eradicating the primary causes of preventable injuries and fatalities. Through our leadership, research, education, and advocacy efforts, we focus on critical areas where unintentional injuries and deaths predominantly occur.

We are seeking a Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Operations to contribute to our mission of saving lives and preventing injuries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Direction:
    • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing sales growth, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish long-term objectives for the Sales, Marketing, and Operations divisions.
    • Encourage cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic vision.
  • Sales Operations Leadership:
    • Refine sales processes and workflows to boost productivity and revenue.
    • Guide sales operations teams in developing and executing effective sales strategies, forecasting, and performance metrics.
    • Ensure synergy between sales teams and marketing efforts to optimize lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Marketing Operations Management:
    • Supervise the implementation of marketing campaigns, ensuring seamless integration with sales initiatives.
    • Oversee marketing operations, including automation, campaign performance analysis, and budget management.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance branding, messaging, and market entry strategies.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Promote operational efficiency across all business units, focusing on process enhancement, cost reduction, and resource allocation.
    • Establish and implement performance metrics to assess operational effectiveness and drive data-informed improvements.
    • Manage and enhance supply chain, logistics, and customer service operations to ensure the smooth delivery of products and services.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and cultivate high-performing teams across sales, marketing, and operations.
    • Encourage a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation within the organization.
    • Develop a robust leadership pipeline by identifying and nurturing key talent within the organization.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Formulate and oversee budgets for the Sales, Marketing, and Operations sectors.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyze discrepancies, and implement necessary corrective measures.
    • Work closely with finance to ensure precise forecasting and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary liaison between sales, marketing, and operations teams and the executive leadership.
    • Provide regular updates on performance metrics, strategic initiatives, and operational enhancements to the CEO/COO and the Board of Directors.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, sales, and marketing, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Robust financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial planning.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • This is a remote position.
  • Compensation: Salary range: $165,000 to $175,000 with a growth incentive plan.
