Job Summary

Amerit Consulting is seeking a highly skilled ESRI ArcMap Quality Assurance and Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our GIS team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our mapping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate the accuracy of legacy mapping data migrated to an Esri mapping system through multiple queries.
  • Review land base symmetry, connectivity at structures, and cable connectivity to ensure integrity.
  • Check attribute data of all linear and point data features for Electric and Gas components.
  • Perform map symbology updates and provide symbology solutions as needed.
  • Conduct system testing to ensure the functionality of new mapping products.
  • Manage and maintain organized primary database Excel spreadsheets and other data.
  • Prioritize data tasks and manage a timeline for completion of data review.
  • Assist in other eGIS projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of experience using ESRI ArcMap and a strong understanding of Esri GIS.
  • Knowledge of MXD building, spatial queries, and spatial analysis.
  • Experience in the utility environment.
  • Self-starter with high motivation, attentiveness, integrity, energy, initiative, and resourcefulness.
  • Quick learner with the ability to carry out tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with a technical background, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
