Geospatial Analyst

Amerit Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Analyst to join our team. As a Geospatial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our client's efforts to replace legacy mapping systems with ArcFM, Schneider's mapping platform.

• Provide QA/QC support for phase 1 and 2 of the project to alleviate workload and improve overall efficiency.
• Develop and implement spatial queries and spatial analysis to validate the accuracy of legacy mapping data migrated to an Esri mapping system.
• Review land base symmetry, connectivity at structures, and assure cable connectivity is intact.
• Check attribute data of all linear and point data features for Electric and Gas components.
• Perform map symbology updates and provide symbology solutions as necessary.
• Conduct system testing to ensure functionality of new mapping product.
• Keep an organized primary database Excel spreadsheet and other data.
• Prioritize data tasks and manage a timeline completion on data review.
• Assist in other eGIS projects as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience using ESRI ArcMap and knowledge in Esri GIS.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge in MXD building, spatial queries, and spatial analysis.
• Experience within the utility environment.
• Self-starter with high degree of attentiveness, integrity, energy, initiative, and resourcefulness.
• Quick learner with ability to carry out tasks to completion with minimum supervision.
• Good analytical skills with technical background, strong organizational skills, and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
