Work Hours: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday, 35 hours/week (excluding mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work)
Compensation: $100 - $110 per hour
Role SummaryThe selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the NG911 - FDNY system. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be essential in advancing the project related to the Class 1/2/3 and NG911 Call Handling enhancements of the Next Generation 9-1-1 emergency call system, providing specialized expertise during both testing and configuration stages.
ResponsibilitiesFDNY – QA Engineer Duties:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality benchmarks.
- Design and implement exploratory and automated testing procedures to guarantee product excellence, particularly for FIRE and EMD systems.
- Craft detailed, comprehensive, and well-organized test plans and test cases pertinent to FIRE & EMD dispatch operations.
- Coordinate and prioritize testing activities in collaboration with FDNY and associated vendors.
- Develop and execute automation scripts to support FIRE and EMD functionalities.
- Establish and apply testing methodologies in alignment with FIRE and EMD requirements.
Mandatory Skills/Experience: Candidates lacking the following qualifications will not be considered:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in a specific technical or business application, product, platform, methodology, or skill set.
- Experience in testing Public Safety/Dispatch Applications or systems.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Prior integration or testing experience on a large-scale system.
- A proactive approach to resolving both technical and non-technical issues, showcasing strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
- Familiarity with Selenium Test Suite, Mercury Interactive Tools, Maven, and Rational SQA Suite/Team Test.
