Position Summary:

The Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance and Compliance is responsible for leading and overseeing performance enhancement initiatives through data analysis and compliance metrics. This role is integral to the senior management team, collaborating closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other executive leaders to develop, implement, and manage the organization’s performance monitoring and compliance strategies.

Quality Responsibilities:
  • Analyze data trends to guide performance improvement initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and fulfill outcome measurement and reporting requirements.
  • Provide analytical support across various departments within the organization.
  • Oversee incident reporting and manage risk management dashboards.
  • Work in partnership with the VP of Information Technology and Security to optimize organizational information systems, including the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Facilitate monthly meetings focused on Performance and Quality Improvement to assess quality assurance and compliance efforts.
  • Manage the ongoing certification and reporting processes to uphold national accreditation and other organizational certifications.
Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Enhance existing compliance frameworks to establish a comprehensive Compliance Plan aimed at preventing and detecting legal and regulatory violations.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the Compliance Plan, suggesting necessary updates and modifications, and convene quarterly compliance team meetings to address potential risks.
  • Oversee the Ethics Point reporting system, ensuring a safe and anonymous reporting channel for all employees and affiliated individuals.
  • Ensure internal controls are effective in identifying and preventing unethical or illegal conduct.
  • Present periodic and annual reports on the Compliance Program to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily compliance activities and adherence to national accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement compliance training and educational programs for all staff members.
  • Manage a reporting system that allows employees to disclose noncompliance issues without fear of retaliation, ensuring prompt investigation of all allegations.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO or Board.
  • Serve as the HIPAA compliance officer, ensuring adherence to all relevant requirements and providing regular training.
  • Oversee records management and ensure compliance with laws regarding the release of records.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Supervisory Duties:
  • Supervise and manage staff involved in quality assurance, compliance, analytics, and records management, including two Directors and their respective teams.
  • Direct the overall coordination and evaluation of these teams.
  • Execute supervisory responsibilities in line with organizational policies and applicable laws, including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive management experience in nonprofit human services, with at least two years in a leadership role, encompassing comprehensive administrative responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of operational and quality assurance practices within nonprofit human services organizations.
Travel Requirements:

This position allows for hybrid remote work, with occasional travel required for meetings and audits.
