Job Overview

Position Title: Clinical Quality Specialist

Position Summary:

The Center for Alternative is seeking a Clinical Quality Specialist to enhance the delivery of superior mental health treatment services. The ideal candidate will possess experience with regulatory bodies and have a solid understanding of pertinent laws and regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday to Friday.

Remote Work Option: This role offers flexibility to work remotely.

Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $65,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal audits and chart reviews to ensure client records adhere to standards of care, licensing requirements, and Medicaid regulations.
  • Conduct timely utilization reviews of client documentation, providing recommendations to management and tracking implementation by the treatment team.
  • Facilitate the incident reporting and review process in accordance with state regulations, ensuring effective staff training and incident follow-up.
  • Support risk management strategies for clients at high risk for adverse outcomes, collaborating with program managers to enhance quality of care.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to elevate program performance and client results.
  • Ensure compliance with client privacy regulations and the confidentiality of protected health information.
  • Review and approve documentation for stakeholders in the criminal legal system regarding client treatment progress.
  • Design and implement training programs for staff on policies, documentation standards, and incident reporting.

Qualifications:

  • LMSW or LMHC with a minimum of one year of experience in quality improvement and compliance within licensed treatment programs.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Skilled in providing constructive feedback while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
