Executive Hotel Manager Position at VMV Capital Group

**Job Summary:**

The Executive Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Hotel Profitability:**
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability targets.
    • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to budgeted amounts.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to establish annual incentive programs for department heads.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings to foster interdepartmental communication and goal alignment.
    • Perform quarterly audits of departmental procedures and results.
    • Monitor daily room inventory control and merchandising procedures.
    • Conduct quarterly rate surveys of competitive hotels/resorts for analysis.
    • Ensure compliance with amenity programs, company standards, and promotional materials.
    • Adhere to the annual operating budget and expense-tracking system.
  • **Asset Management:**
    • Ensure the hotel property is maintained to the highest standards.
    • Adhere to the annual capital budget and ensure completion of all capital projects.
    • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
    • Perform bi-weekly property inspections and approve action plans to resolve any issues.
  • **Accounting:**
    • Ensure compliance with VMV Accounting Policies and Procedures.
  • **Guest Satisfaction/Public Relations:**
    • Evaluate guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken.
    • Monitor response cards and community affiliations.
    • Assure compliance with the established M.O.D. Program.
  • **Sales and Marketing:**
    • Monitor sales initiatives in compliance with the marketing plan.
    • Assist in the development of the annual Marketing Plan and review quarterly for effectiveness.
    • Conduct sessions with directors and guest service associates to ensure sales compliance.
    • Establish relationships with clients and enhance community image to maximize profitability.
  • **Human Resources/Training and Development:**
    • Ensure hiring/termination practices comply with policies and laws.
    • Maintain staffing levels, adherence to performance standards, and development of position descriptions.
    • Conduct annual performance evaluations and encourage associate development.
    • Monitor compliance with training programs and HR practices.
  • **Personal Development:**
    • Attend advanced management-training seminars and corporate events.
    • Operate in compliance with the Policies and Procedures Manual.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business.
  • 5+ years of management experience in the hospitality industry.
