POSITION: End-of-Line Packaging Specialist

REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor

LOCATION: Lebanon, KY

SHIFT: Evening, Night

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role involves the simultaneous inspection and packaging of tubes into designated boxes. Responsibilities include:

  1. Thoroughly inspecting tubes for various quality parameters such as color consistency, absence of caps, print quality, and structural integrity.
  2. Rejecting tubes that fail to meet established quality standards and communicating with the Line Operator or Supervisor regarding persistent quality issues.
  3. Alerting the Supervisor, QA Auditor, and line team when quality concerns arise.
  4. Monitoring scrap levels and reporting any issues to maintain acceptable scrap rates.
  5. Organizing and stacking completed boxes of tubes on skids, preparing them for shipment, and transporting skids within the facility using a hand-jack.
  6. Utilizing specification sheets to ensure the correct materials are used and that packaging adheres to job specifications.
  7. Completing necessary documentation and ensuring the accuracy of all generated reports.
  8. Maintaining cleanliness in the work area and assisting with line cleanups.
  9. Supporting line changeovers, including purging the line and cleaning equipment.
  10. Providing relief for Line Operators during short breaks.
  11. Setting up and adjusting automatic packing machines as needed.
  12. Fostering a collaborative team environment.
  13. Adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  14. Training new hires as assigned.
  15. Performing additional duties as required within the department.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a packing role.
  • A background in quality assurance is advantageous.
