We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Inspector to join our team at Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering. As a key member of our Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Monitoring: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test construction materials to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of construction activities, including daily notes and inspection reports.
- Communication: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients, to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Survey preferred.
- Experience: 6 years of relevant experience in materials, standards, and specifications related to transportation projects and facilities required.
- Certifications: Must hold relevant certifications, including OSHA 10, Work Zone Traffic Control, and Confined Space Entry & Self Rescue- Competent Person.
- Skills: Strong written and communication skills; math calculation skills; MS Office experience; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds and the ability to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions. The employee must be able to visually examine construction materials and finished structures and work in various types of weather and field conditions.
