Manufacturing Operations Leader

This role is accountable for overseeing the production processes of ultra-high purity gases tailored for the Electronics & Specialty gas sector.

The key responsibilities encompass:

  • Formulating and upholding operational guidelines, processes, and training protocols.
  • Promoting a culture of safety with a target of zero accidents and incidents.
  • Providing leadership to ensure exceptional safety performance and adherence to regulations.
  • Establishing and managing plant policies and operational procedures.
  • Coordinating equipment and production timelines effectively.
  • Selecting and mentoring supervisory and operational staff.
  • Overseeing gas production while implementing efficient processes and budget management.
  • Developing work instructions and process flow maps, alongside conducting FMEA analyses.
  • Implementing quality assurance processes with measurable metrics.
  • Managing production, procurement, shipping, and inventory functions.
  • Enhancing profitability through active management of expenses and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting sales teams in customer interactions and contract negotiations.
  • Facilitating communication across various management levels.
  • Conducting performance evaluations for employees.
  • Executing additional projects and responsibilities as required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Hands-on expertise in gas production and cleanroom standards.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, and FDA).
  • Experience in determining flow rates and throughput for products.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to interpret scientific and technical documents, financial reports, and legal texts.
  • Capable of addressing inquiries from customers, employees, and regulatory bodies.
  • Skilled in drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Adept at presenting information and addressing questions from diverse groups.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering from an accredited institution, combined with five to ten years of relevant operations management experience, preferably in high purity gas operations.
