  • Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels to optimize inventory turnover and profitability.
  • Freight Handling: Participate in the unloading of shipments and organization of merchandise on shelves.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support management with various administrative duties, including stock ordering and report analysis.
  • Loss Prevention: Aid in implementing strategies to minimize loss.
  • Display Management: Work alongside merchandising teams to ensure promotional displays are effectively maintained.
  • Department Oversight: Manage specific departments as assigned.
  • Safety Compliance: Uphold safety standards and assist in conducting safety training.
  • Leadership in Absence: Assume managerial duties when the General Manager is unavailable.
  • Workplace Safety: Ensure a secure working environment by identifying and reporting safety concerns.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow all established company policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in retail, preferably within the hardware or lumber sector.
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role is advantageous.
  • Management Skills: Experience in management is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

The ideal candidate should be capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the role, which include:

  • Extended periods of standing and walking within the retail and lumber yard.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role, typically requiring 45 hours per week, with varying days and hours, including evenings and weekends.
