Work Hours:

  • Part-time hours available
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate personal commitments
  • Extended/irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Potential for 40 hours/week during peak seasons
  • Ongoing hours available throughout the year based on event schedules

Job Overview:

The Guest Services Team plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service during various events. Responsibilities include food preparation, responding to guest inquiries, managing cash and ticket transactions, overseeing inventory, restocking merchandise and supplies, maintaining facility cleanliness, and performing other tasks to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Team members will work in diverse settings, both indoors and outdoors, including permanent cafés, banquet facilities, livestock barn service desks, and pop-up food and beverage stations, among others.

Qualifications:

  • Dependable, trustworthy, and adaptable with a commitment to exceeding expectations
  • Interest or background in agriculture, animals, 4-H, FFA, rodeo, or nature is preferred but not mandatory
  • Eagerness to learn and work diligently in various environments while delivering professional and friendly service to a diverse clientele

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food preparation and service in compliance with health regulations
  • Operation of food service equipment
  • Adherence to proper food handling procedures
  • Bartending duties
  • Cash handling and accurate management of cash drawers and sales transactions
  • Utilization of ShopKeep software on provided devices for food and beverage sales

Skills and Abilities:

  • Willingness to learn menu items and event specials
  • Ability to navigate event software on provided devices
  • Proficiency in cash handling and providing correct change
  • Knowledge of event practices related to a variety of activities
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Capability to work under pressure and adapt to a variable schedule
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods

Training and Experience:

Applicants must obtain a Liquor Server/Seller Permit and a Prep Cook Food Handlers license as required by local authorities. The cost of these licenses will be reimbursed after six months of service with a minimum of 20 hours worked per month.

Compensation:

Team Members: Starting at $11/hr. + tips
