Territory Sales Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Territory Sales Engineer to join our team at ESPO Corporation. As a Territory Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for acquiring new accounts and growing existing ones in the East Coast and Northern California territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and secure new accounts and defend, retain, and increase the profitable penetration of existing accounts.
  2. Formulate business plans and introduce sales initiatives to address market, competitive, and segment issues and opportunities.
  3. Maintain effective oral and written communications with Sales Management and key personnel to inform them of account status, segment plans, and programs in process.
  4. Maximize sales effectiveness through lead generation, market segment information sharing, and attending trade shows.
  5. Acquire knowledge of users and distribution personnel to preserve existing business and enhance the introduction of new products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • Three to five years technical sales experience including selling directly to OEMs, preferably in the Motion Control or complimentary industry
  • Ability to travel as assigned and required (60% weekly travel expected)
  • Valid driver's license and proof of state-required insurance
