Business Development Executive

At Hotchkiss Insurance, we're seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management: Manage an assigned book of business and build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients.
- Business Development: Secure existing business and drive the sales of additional services and coverage levels (account rounding).
- Communication and Coordination: Cultivate relationships with the decision maker in the client's organization as well as handle interactions with the day-to-day client representatives.
- Product and Coverage Expertise: Effectively coordinate with Account Managers, Marketing Managers, Client Services, etc. to provide the best product/coverage for each client associated with the assigned book of business.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support as well as coordinating and facilitating; specifically in analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and quotations.
- Negotiation and Renewal Management: Negotiate and oversee the negotiations of renewals (coverage terms and/or pricing).
- Carrier and Intermediary Relationships: Solidify and maintain carrier and intermediary relationships.
- Contract Review: Oversee contract reviews.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or work equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience.
- Risk Management: Risk management experience and education including analysis of contracts and agreements and determining fulfillment of insurance requirements.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills: Capable of interacting with clients to cultivate strong relationships. Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an intermediate or advanced level. Ability to use software to track client data and develop and customize reports.
