Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Role Summary:

The Seasonal Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for fostering relationships with donors to enhance both in-kind and financial contributions to our organization. This role involves significant public interaction, requiring strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Excellence: Manage communication with potential and existing donors, ensuring clarity and efficiency in scheduling and confirming donation drives.
  • Data Management: Accurately track donor interactions and maintain records within our database system. Ensure timely updates and generate reports as needed.
  • Donor Relationship Management: Assist in the processes of identifying and nurturing donor relationships, including making and receiving calls to facilitate engagement.
  • Adherence to Organizational Values: Uphold the mission and values of Metropolitan Ministries in all interactions, ensuring transparency and ethical practices in donor communications.
  • Industry Awareness: Maintain a general understanding of nonprofit fundraising, particularly in relation to in-kind donations and community support initiatives.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in customer service or relationship management, with at least one year of relevant experience in the nonprofit sector. Proficiency in business software and attention to detail are essential.

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to stand, sit, and lift up to 20 lbs, with the capacity to work in various environments as needed.

Additional Information:

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment screening and must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is required during peak operational periods.
