Position Summary:

The Seasonal Community Support Coordinator plays a vital role in nurturing and managing donor relationships to enhance the flow of in-kind and financial contributions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Customer Service Excellence: Facilitate communication with potential and existing donors to coordinate collection drives, ensuring clarity and efficiency in scheduling.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and support operational logistics through effective data entry and reporting.
  • Donor Relationship Management: Assist in the processes of identifying, cultivating, and soliciting support from donors, ensuring timely follow-ups and communications.
  • Commitment to Ethics: Uphold the mission and values of Metropolitan Ministries by engaging with donors transparently and adhering to established policies and guidelines.
  • Industry Insight: Possess a foundational understanding of nonprofit fundraising, particularly in relation to in-kind contributions and community engagement.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have a background in customer service or a related field, with a minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent experience. Previous experience in nonprofit development is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in using business software and CRM systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to perform tasks that involve standing, sitting, and lifting up to 20 lbs, as well as working in various environments.

Additional Information:

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment screening and must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings and weekends, is essential.
