Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Role Summary:

The Seasonal Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for nurturing and managing donor relationships to enhance the flow of in-kind and financial contributions to our organization. This role involves extensive interaction with the public, requiring strong organizational abilities, communication skills, and a high level of discretion regarding sensitive matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Excellence: Facilitate communication with potential and existing donors to coordinate collection drives and ensure clarity in scheduling.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and support operational logistics through effective data entry and reporting.
  • Donor Relationship Management: Engage with donors through phone communication, fostering relationships and ensuring follow-up on solicitations.
  • Adherence to Organizational Values: Embody the mission and values of Metropolitan Ministries in all interactions, ensuring transparency and ethical practices in donor communications.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about nonprofit fundraising trends and actively participate in team meetings to enhance collaborative efforts.

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will have a background in customer service or sales, along with a minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in relationship management. A proven track record in nonprofit development is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, including CRM systems.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates should be capable of performing tasks that involve standing, sitting, and lifting up to 20 lbs, as well as working in various environments.
