Job Overview

Position Type: Grant-funded role with a focus on community education and support.

Work Schedule: 32-35 hours per week; full-time with benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage student services, administrative tasks, and instructional activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and distributing necessary information and forms.
  • Market programs effectively through the creation of advertisements, brochures, and guided tours.
  • Handle applicant information by collecting completed applications, verifying details, and conducting interviews with families and clients.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Connect clients with relevant programs and services.
  • Coordinate the processing of admissions applications.
  • Support students by offering admissions assistance across various programs.
  • Disseminate information regarding program offerings.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for prospective students.
  • Conduct admissions appointments, both walk-in and scheduled, with new students.
  • Assist students in assessing their skills and interests to ensure a smooth transition from education to employment or further education.
  • Evaluate, plan, implement, and monitor options and services to facilitate effective transitions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships within the organization and the community.
  • Prepare essential documentation and professional reports.
  • Represent the organization at recruitment events and maintain promotional materials.
  • Serve as the primary instructor for community-based customer service training groups.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and engage effectively with colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience in school admissions, teaching, training, or a related field. Special Education certification is preferred. Candidates should possess Discovery certification through Vocational Rehabilitation or be willing to obtain it within the first 90 days. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with excellent customer service abilities. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail are necessary. A self-motivated individual who can contribute positively to a team environment is preferred. A people-first and service-oriented attitude is crucial. Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Compliance with Level II background screening and drug screening is mandatory.
