Position Summary

Manager Trainee - Operations (Travel Program - Relocation Required)

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Career Advancement & Development: The training program spans approximately 12 months. After completion, you will have an additional six months to progress into an Assistant Manager role, receiving personalized training and mentorship.
  • Operations Leadership Training: Throughout the program, you will gain insights into the business and industry while developing skills in financial, marketing, administrative, regulatory, quality, personnel, and facilities management.
  • Contributing to Life-Changing Therapies: Upholding our high-quality standards is essential for creating transformative medicines. You will acquire the skills necessary to achieve production and cost objectives while ensuring adherence to regulations and BioLife's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Travel Opportunities: Our extensive travel package allows you to visit BioLife locations nationwide, expanding your network and learning from team members across various centers.
  • Collaborative Team Environment: Promote an inclusive atmosphere by working with a diverse group of individuals. Engage and communicate effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Outstanding Customer Service: Ensure a positive experience for donors and maintain high levels of donor satisfaction. Assist with production as needed.
  • Relocation: Following the program and your promotion to a management role, relocation to one of BioLife's centers will be necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience (approximately 3 years)
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% - 85% and relocate upon program completion
  • Proximity to a BioLife Plasma Services location or willingness to relocate for the program
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for the entire work shift
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Possession of a valid driver's license throughout the program
  • Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach
  • Capability to frequently lift up to 32 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor skills, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Distribution Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments, and the FDA
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment
